Your Blog

Forget what you think a blog is. This one (that you are looking at) is not what I'm talking about. Your Blog is much different.

Let me explain...

A blog is simply an easy-to-create website page that can be easily distributed. Content can be anything: text, links, downloads, photos, audio, movies, slideshows, graphics, infographics, files, embedded apps. Anything you have ever seen on the internet can be in a blog post.

But most of that description is not what your architectural firm's blog should be like.

Your Blog should use pictures. A picture with one short paragraph of text. That's a blog post for you - a picture with a caption

The picture is easy. It is something that is going on in your firm. A drawing. A 3D design. A job-site photo.

The text is easy. Just say something about what is in the picture.

Here is an example to demonstrate just how simple this can be. And it needs to be simple because your audience is counting on it.

Example post:

Wolnitzek School

Well-designed foundations allow the use of the hillside for the new science building on a very tight site.

That’s it.

Once you get the hang of it, the time required per post is about a fifteen minutes

The benefits are

  • An excuse to contact your prospects over and over in a way they won't mind

  • A chance to build your brand, what you want to be known for

  • A living archive of your work

  • Easier than updating your website

  • Really cheap
